Students at Main Street Elementary School spent the day Tuesday, May 5, 2015, surrounded by all things "science." For the second year, the Carnegie Science Center brought their "Science on the Road" program to our school. This year's event was titled "SolarQuest." The program provides high-energy science activities and hands-on, age-appropriate activities for the students. This year, students were educated about our star--the Sun--and how important it is to make life possible on Earth. The highlight for the day was the opportunity for each class to enter into a planetarium that was set up in the gymnasium. Main Street School would like to thank the parent volunteers who worked the activity stations and also the PTG for supporting this event.
