Mrs. Edwards' Class Meets their Pen Pals
Mrs. Edwards' second grade class had the opportunity to meet their Pleasantville Elementary pen pals from Mrs. Spencer's second grade class.  The two classes had exchanged friendly letters since January of this year, and on May 13, 2016, Mrs. Spencer's class traveled by bus to Main Street School.  The students had lunch together and spent the day getting better acquainted with each other.  It was a beautiful day, and the students also enjoyed some outdoor recess before the Pleasantville students boarded the bus back to their school.
Fourth Grade Students Travel to Hydetown
The fourth grade students from both Main Street and Pleasantville Schools traveled to Hydetown Elementary on May 18, 2016, for a "meet and greet" with a member of the Erie SeaWolves Baseball Team.  Students were introduced to relief pitcher Paul Voelker, who spoke to them about his career in the Minor League, and he also signed autographs for many of the students.  All fourth grade classes traveled to an Erie SeaWolves game the following day as their end-of-the-year field trip.
Track & Field Day - Friday, May 20, 2016
Track & Field Day will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016.  Please remember that the track and field activities will take place in the morning at the Ed Myer Complex, followed by lunch, then a swim event at the THS pool.  Remind your students to pack sunscreen, a swim suit and towel, and lunch (if they are not signed up to get a school lunch).  Students will leave Main Street School by bus at 8:30 a.m. and return in time for the afternoon dismissal.
