Mr. Axton has been a business teacher at Titusville High School since the fall of 1997, and teaches courses that include Entrepreneurship, Accounting, blended Computer Programming, and business math.  In addition to teaching, Mr. Axton currently serves the students of Titusville as the assistant cross country coach, Future Business Leaders of America adviser, and oversees the Rocket Stop school store.

Mr. Axton holds Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Teacher Education from Robert Morris University, as well as a Master’s degree and school administration certification from Edinboro University.

Mr. Axton is a PIAA track and field official, and served as the head coach for the girls track and field team for thirteen seasons, including the District X Championship team in 2004.  He was also the head coach of the boys and girls cross country teams for fifteen seasons, including the girls cross country District X Championship team in 2000.

Mrs. Baker was hired by the Titusville Area School District in November 2017 to join the Health Office staff.  She graduated from Youngsville High School and received her nursing certification from Venango Technology Center.  Prior to joining TASD, she worked at Oak Street Pediatrics and was employed per diem with Allegheny Health Network through their Saint Vincent Medical Group.

Mr. Banner began working for TASD in 2001. He is a graduate of Slippery Rock University where earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. While working at Titusville High School he has taught academic chemistry and advanced chemistry courses.

His other THS affiliations include science department chair and Varsity club advisor. Outside of school he is involved in the Pleasantville Presbyterian church; he enjoys reading; kayaking; hiking; camping; atv riding; bow hunting and spending time with his wife and children.

Mrs. Borkovich was hired by the district in 2018 to join the special education staff at THS.  She currently holds a Master's of Special Education and a Master's of Secondary Education from Slippery Rock University and a Behavioral Specialist License from the PA State Board of Medicine.  She plans to further her studies to receive her Autism Endorsement through PDE.  Prior to coming to Titusville, she worked as an emotional support teacher at both Mercer and Penncrest School Districts.

Mr. Boyer is 2016 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a bachelor's degree in music education where he was involved with Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Combos, Brass Band as well as Marching Band and Orchestra. He completed his student teaching at North Allegheny School District and was a long-term substitute music teacher for South Park Middle School where he taught 5th and 6th grade band and choir.   He is a member of PMEA.  In his free time he plays in a band out of Youngstown and enjoys kayaking, weightlifting and following Pittsburgh sports.  He is also the district's marching band instructor.

Mr. Brown is a graduate of THS. He earned a bachelor of science from Edinboro University. Prior to teaching, he worked as a wraparound and probation officer. He then worked as a substitute teacher for Titusville, Valley Grove, Forest, and North Clarion school districts. After teaching for three years at Tidioute Community Charter School, Mr. Brown accepted a teaching position here at Titusville.

Heather Carson is one of our math teachers here at the high school. Heather has spent most of her life here in the Titusville area. Heather graduated from Titusville in 1993 and went on to Westminster College to study secondary education. She has taught in a variety of different settings including an inner city school in Maryland and a private school in Erie. She taught for 14 years at Rocky Grove before she came to the Titusville District. She has lived in the Titusville area for all but two years of her life.
Heather has a Master’s Equivalency by taking a variety of technology and instructional strategy courses. She continues to take different courses to keep up to date in these areas. Mrs. Carson has two children that keep her busy with sporting activities such as baseball and softball where they spend most of their summer nights at practices or games.

Mr. Cartney earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in Ceramics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a certificate of Art Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Cartney is currently teaching Studio Arts, Commercial Art, Video Production, 3-D Art and Graphics Communication. Mr. Cartney also serves as the advisor for Art Club, and as Auditorium Manager. He has been teaching at the high school since 1999.
Mr. Cartney has spent many years volunteering in his community by participating in the Titusville Council on the Arts and the Shade Tree Commission. He is an alumnus of the Titusville Area School District.
Mr. Cartney enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie and their two children. They enjoy traveling and camping. He is an avid gardener, and especially enjoys cultivating bonsai trees.

Mr. Come was hired by TASD in 2016 as a biology instructor. In addition to teaching, he also volunteer coaches for the high school boys’ soccer team and was hired as an assistant swim coach at THS.
Mr. Come is a proud 2010 graduate of Titusville High School. He also has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Slippery Rock University.
Prior to teaching at THS, Mr. Come completed his student teaching at Franklin Area High School teach chemistry. He also has a year of experience at Warren Area High School as a long term substitute teaching physics.

Mrs. Copley starting working for the district in 1995 as a sub in at the Daycare Center and as a classroom aide. She was hired as a fulltime aide at the E.C.L.C. in 1997 and moved to the High School in the fall of 2001 as attendance secretary and now also runs the district’s Print Shop. You will often see her at school sporting events. She is the mother of 3, all of whom graduated from Titusville, and the grandmother of 1. She enjoys flying to England to spend time with her daughter’s family, when she is able to.

Katie was hired by TASD in April 2018 as a THS English teacher.  She comes to the district having previously taught at Erie Rise Leadership Academy Charter School and prior to that as a clinical instructor at Sarah Reed Children's Center.  She is graduate of Ft. LeBoeuf High School and of Edinboro University of PA where she received a BS in both mid-level and secondary English.

Mrs. Fenske as been employed in the Titusville School District since 2008, teaching middle school and high school vocal music and guitar.  She also directs the All School Musical, Senior Class Play, is the Drama Club Advisor, and started the MS Guitar Ensemble.

Mrs. Fenske graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in May 2008. She graduated magna cum laude, and was a member of the music fraternity, Sigma Alpha Iota. She earned her Master’s Degree in Music Education from Boston University in 2012. She also holds a digital learning certificate from Eduspire, certificate in teaching guitar from GAMA, and completed the Pennsylvania Music Educator’s Association leadership academy in 2015.

Mrs. Fenske is a member of NEA, TEA, and PMEA. She serves as the technology and data coordinator for PMEA District 2, and is an active member of the Titusville Summer Theater board of directors. Outside of school she teaches private voice, guitar, and saxophone lessons. During her spare time, she enjoys staying active in music theater in Titusville and the Barrow Civic Theater in Franklin, reading, kayaking, and spending time with her family.

I received my bachelor’s degree in literature, communication arts, and secondary education from Grove City College and my master’s degree in communications with a certificate in public relations from Clarion University. I taught tenth and eleventh grade English at North Clarion High School for four years before coming to THS in 2001. I taught tenth and eleventh grade English at the high school from 2001 until January 2010, when I took a sabbatical to complete my master’s degree. The next fall I returned to TMS to teach 8th grade reading and language arts classes for three years before returning to the high school to teach 11th grade English.

I earned a B.S. Degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from Penn State University in 1995. I earned the necessary credits for certification in Secondary Math Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1996. From there, I went on to teach computer science classes at Kane High School and Youngsville High School, before being hired at Titusville Area School District in 1998. I taught Computer Science classes at Titusville High School for a few years before resigning to stay home to raise our growing family.
I enjoy camping, traveling, riding atv’s, cooking/baking, kayaking, running and spending time with my family and friends.

 Mrs. Green is a THS Alumni with the Class of 1994.  She graduated from Edinboro University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education/Social Studies with a minor in History and Spanish. In 2006 she graduated from Gannon University with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and in 2008 she received her Principal’s certificate from Gannon. She was hired by the district in 1999 to teach secondary social studies.   In addition to teaching she has served as the Assistant Coach of the Lady Rocket Softball Team since 2007; past Student Council Advisor and Sophomore Class advisor. Mrs. Green is the mother of three who are very active in cross country, track, and swimming (where you’ll find Megan at a pool for eight months out of the year).

Susan Gum has an Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems with a specialization in Networking from Tri-State Business Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Security from American Sentinel University. She holds both MCP and MCSE certifications from Microsoft. She is the district's Director of Technology & Innovation and began working for the school district in 2002 as the Assistant Director of Technology.

Mr. Hancock has been part of the Titusville community since 1992 and has worked as a School Psychologist in the Titusville Area School District (TASD) since 1993. Mr. Hancock was born and raised in Batavia, New York and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Allegheny College. He then received his Master’s Degree in School Psychology from Alfred University in 1993. His current duties are to provide an array of psychological services to students at the TMS/THS.

In addition to his academic duties, Mr. Hancock has been a strong proponent of student extracurricular involvement. Mr. Hancock has coached football, wrestling, and/or both at all levels for the better part of two decades and currently serves as the Head Football Coach. He is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), Titusville Education Association (TEA), and the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA). Additionally, he is a member of the Crawford County Suicide Task Force (CCSTF) and the Crawford County Educational Subcommittee (CCES). He and his wife Sandy live in Pleasantville with their three sons.

Mrs. Huck is originally from the Waterford area, where she graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 2000.  She continued her education at Edinboro University receiving an associates degree in business before changing her focus into education and went on to get an associates degree in developmental disabilities.  She worked for a year in the Fort LeBoeuf School District as a paraprofessional in the middle school emotional support classroom and later returned to Edinboro receive her bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.  She then continued on to receive her masters degree in Autism Support.  Mrs. Huck taught for the nine years for the Riverview Intermediate Unit within the high school here at Titusville and in 2018 she was hired by the district.

Mrs. Jones has been teaching Social Studies in the Titusville Area School District since 1994.  She spent sixteen years teaching Geography and Ancient World Cultures to 7th graders, and currently teaches U.S. and the World to 11th grade students.  Mrs. Jones earned her undergraduate degree in Social Studies Education from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 1992, and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University in 2000 and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Differentiated Education from NorthCentral University in 2010.  In addition to her teaching duties at Titusville High School, she is currently the advisor of the History Club and Model UN Team, and tutors students in the after school Homework Help/Credit Recovery program.  Over the years she has also coached volleyball and cheerleading, advised the Middle School Student Council, served as a cooperating teacher for several student teachers and has sat on various building and district committees.  Mrs. Jones is an active member of the Pennsylvania Alliance for Geographic Education (PAGE), serving in its Steering Committee, is a THS teacher-leader for Reading Apprenticeship Improving Secondary Education in Pennsylvania (PA-RAISE), and has been recognized by National Geographic with a Distinguished Teacher Award and by the Network of State Teacher of the Year – Pennsylvania Chapter (NSTOY-PA) as a 2015 teacher of the year finalist.  In addition, Mrs. Jones has had the opportunity to travel on a Fulbright trip to Jordan in 2014 and a National Endowment for the Humanities trip to Turkey in 2015.

Ms. Jungbluth has been the library media specialist at Titusville High School since 2001. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Penn State University, a master’s degree in education from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in library science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Prior to moving to Titusville, she taught English as a second language in Germany for nine years and worked for American Airlines in Frankfurt, Germany and Dublin, Ireland.

Mrs. Kelly has been the school nurse for Titusville Middle School and Titusville High School since 2009. She earned her B.S. in Nursing from Edinboro University and School Nurse Certification from Clarion University. Mrs. Kelly is also an American Heart Association CPR/First Aid instructor. She is a member of the National Association of School Nurses.

Mr. Knapp joined the TASD faculty as the Principal of Titusville High School during the 2014-2015 school year. After serving for four years in the United States Navy, Mr. Knapp attended Clarion University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education/Social Studies. He later earned a Master’s Degree in Health Studies from the University of Alabama, as well as a Master of Education in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. He taught social studies to middle and high school students in both South Carolina and Pennsylvania for thirteen years. He also served as a mentor and coach for numerous athletes in wrestling, soccer, and football. After earning his principal certification, he became the assistant principal at Sheffield High School and then at Youngsville High School. Most recently, Mr. Knapp has been the principal of Youngsville High School and the Supervisor of Athletics and Co-curricular Activities for the Warren County School District.

In his free time, Mr. Knapp enjoys spending time with family and coaching their little league teams, as well as golfing and fishing.

Miss Kolodziejczak joins the staff at THS in the Health & Phys Ed department.  She is 2015 Slippery Rock graduate with a BS in Health and PE and is also a certified Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard.  Prior to coming to the district she worked a year at the Lawrence Co. Career and Technical Center and also taught at Kenmoor Middle School in Maryland.  She did her student teaching at an elementary school for girls in Dublin, Ireland.

Mrs. Sandralee Kozlowski (aka Frau/Madame) teaches all levels of both French and German at Titusville High School in Pennsylvania. She has taught both French and German at Titusville High School for nine years. From 2004 to 2005 she taught Business, Web Design and English at Maplewood High School and she has also taught French in Orlando, Florida. She is English and was raised in Northwest England, in the small resort town of Lytham St. Annes. Mrs. Kozlowski studied French, German and Spanish at Lancashire University in England. Her American education/qualifications include an A.A.S. Degree in International Business from Charlotte, N.C., a B.S. Degree in Business Administration/Marketing., an M.A. Degree in Communications., an M.A. Degree in Educational Leadership and more recently a certification as a K-12 Principal.

After being rocketed to Earth from the doomed planet Krypton, Mr. Lane was raised by kindly couple here in Titusville, eventually graduating with the class of '82. He attended the University of New Mexico, where he earned a BA in broadcast journalism, and he received his teaching certification from Edinboro. He has been teaching in Titusville since 1996, where he fights the never ending battle for Truth, Justice, and the Oxford Comma.

Hannah Leamer began teaching Learning Support English at Titusville High School in 2013. She received her undergraduate degree from Edinboro University with a dual major in Elementary Education and Special Education and her Master’s degree from Gannon University in Curriculum Instruction. Before coming to Titusville School District Miss Leamer worked at Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center in Erie. She is the Junior Class Advisor, coordinates Prom, and participates in many after school activities. Miss Leamer enjoys watching THS athletics and visiting with her family and friends in her free time.

Ruth LeDonne earned her bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University majoring in special education and minoring in dance. She did her student teaching at Shuman Delinquent Center, in which she was their first student teacher based on her request. She, also, received a master’s degree from Duquesne University in Educational Psychology. While at Duquesne, she played on the volleyball team. She received her lifeguard certificate. In Pittsburgh, she taught in several private schools and was the ACLD Adult coordinator. Upon moving, she substituted in a variety of school districts and a semester at North Clarion before being hired by the IU and working for the Titusville School District.

Miss Lewis is a Spanish teacher working at Titusville HIgh School.  Prior to being hired in 2018 she worked as a substitute for Kelly Services teaching Spanish as well as day to day teaching.  She also co-taught English as a Second Language in Columbia, South America.  A Saegertown High School Graduate, she went on to get her Bachelor's in Spanish at Mercyhurst University and her Master's degree in Secondary Education.

Mrs. Machokas has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Education, English as a Second Language (ESL) Certificate and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University. She began her teaching career in 2009 for the Franklin School District. In 2010, she was hired as the ESL teacher for Titusville. Mrs. Machokas taught ESL for 3 years. She came to the Middle School as a Spanish teacher in 2013. She currently teaches 7th and 8th grade Spanish.

Currently, Mrs. Machokas is the Culture Club advisor at the Middle School. She is a member of the Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, and spending time with her family.

She received her B.S. in Elementary Education, middle level mathematics & science, and K-12 FCS certifications from Clarion University. She is also the adviser for the THS Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.

Tammy McHenry is one of the high school counselors for Titusville High School. Originally from Van, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Cranberry High School, earned a B.A. in psychology from Clarion University, and later attained her M.Ed. in Secondary School Counseling from Slippery Rock University. Her previous employment includes positions as a supervisor/case manager for a private foster care agency, a graduate assistant for the Slippery Rock University tutoring program, an alternative education social worker and supervisor of the New Options Program through the Riverview Intermediate Unit, a substitute guidance counselor at Mercer Technology Center, Keystone Jr/Sr High School, and Titusville Middle School, and a substitute in the ACT 101 program at Slippery Rock University. She has been with the Titusville Area School District for almost 20 years. She lives on a dairy farm with her husband, Chris. They have two children, Skyler and Brooke.

I graduated from Edinboro University in December of 2004 with a degree in Health and Physical Education.  In August of 2016 I received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and instruction from Gannon University.  This is my 13th year teaching and in my 6th year here at THS.  I enjoy being outdoors at much as possible when the weather is nice and spending time with my family.  I currently finished my 5th season coaching the Boys Varsity Basketball team.

Miss O’Neill is a 2006 graduate of THS and went on to graduate from Penn State University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Business and Liberal Arts.   She earned her Master's degree from Edinboro in Counseling where she also earned her School Counseling certification.  She gained experience in the human services field as a Therapuetic Staff Support and as a Family Based Therapist before joining TASD.

Mr. Salvo graduated from Union High School and also attended Rimersburg, PA College and California University of PA where he received a B.S. in Technology Education. He continued on to Graduate School at California University and received his M.S. in Sport Management. He has been with the district since 1997 teaching technology education and is also the district's athletic director. He enjoys hunting, coaching football and spending time at family camp.

Mr. Sampson has been an art teacher at Titusville high School since 2002. Mr. Sampson received his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Applied Media Arts and Master’s Degree in Middle and Secondary Education from Edinboro University. In addition to teaching Art III, Art IV, 2D Art, Photography and Freshman Seminar he serves as assistant baseball coach, co-yearbook advisor and advisor for the Senior Video Show. When not in school, Mr. Sampson operates his own photography business and enjoys spending time with his family. They enjoy traveling as well as attending musical and sporting events.

Kristen Slingluff received her Bachelor's in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Edinboro University. She went on to receive her Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University in Virginia. She was employed by Titusville Area School District in 2019. Prior to that, she worked at Lakeview School District in Stoneboro. Kristen also has experience working in a private practice pediatric therapy clinic, servicing birth to 21 years.

Mrs. Slocum was hired by the district in 2018 as our Business Education teacher at THS.  She previously taught in the Juniata Co School District in Mifflintown, PA and was an online business educator for the Agora Cyber Charter School before working in corporate for the past several years.  She has a BS in business education from Indiana University of PA and Master's from Wilkes University.  In addition to teaching she is also going to be the district's Cooperative Education Program advisor.

Fredrick Smith was born and raised in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, where he attended Purchase Line School District and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning a degree in Social Science Education. Continuing his education at Edinboro University, Mr. Smith is currently enrolled in a number of activities and positions. He is a member of the Kiwanis, the Kiwanis Board of Directors, President of the Titusville Education Association, part of the Take Pride in Titusville Committee, Key Club Advisor, and Senior Class Advisor. In the past he has also been the Kiwanis President and Middle School Track Coach. Mr. Smith teaches American Government/Economics and AP European History.

I received my bachelor’s degree in English (writing option) at Pennsylvania State University in 1990 and my secondary education certification from Edinboro University in 1995. I was a reporter/photographer for the News-Herald in Franklin from 1990 to 1993. I taught eighth grade English at Walnut Creek Middle School in Millcreek Township School District for one year before coming to THS in 1996. For several years, I was adviser/teacher for the high school newspaper and yearbook. Currently, I teach both 10th grade and 12th grade English as well as plan and monitor cyber school for all high school English classes.

Mr. Tenney was born in Titusville, PA, in 1977. As an undergraduate student, he took courses at both the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville and Clarion University. In 2007, he graduated from Clarion University, with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. In the spring of 2012, he earned a Master's Degree in Education from Edinboro University.

In the fall of 2007, Mr. Tenney started teaching social studies at the Titusville High School. Additionally, he works with the Stand Tall students, and coaches the Titusville Middle School football team.
Mr. Tenney enjoys spending time with his wife and their two boys along with working outdoors, running, hiking, camping, skiing, hunting, bowling and watching the Cleveland Browns.

Mrs. Waychoff graduated from THS with the class of 1981. She worked in retail before joining the staff at Titusville in September 1996. She worked as a secretary in the library before becoming the secretary to the Athletic Director. Mrs. Waychoff spends her time outside work with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Wheeling attended Lock Haven University graduating in 1993. with a BS Degree in Health & Phys Ed.  She played softball for 4 years.  She is certified as a Driver’s Education instructor which she completed in 1994. Kim was hired by district in Nov of 1994. She has coached Boy’s Soccer, Girl’s Softball and Girl’s Soccer.  In addition Mrs. Wheeling has a Masters degree from Gannon in Curriculum and Instruction.

Mr. Zimmerman joined TASD in 1994.  He is 1986 graduate of THS and upon graduation joined the US Army where he served as sergeant and received the Expert Infantry Badge.  He then went on to Edinboro University where he graduated in December 1993 with a BS in Secondary Social Studies with a concentration in history.   Mr. Zimmerman currently serves as the THS Student Council Class Advisor.
