The month of March includes both Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America. As part of this excitement, PTG is holding a Read-a-Thon. This fundraiser begins on March 1 and continues through March 27. All materials for participation went home on February 13; if you need replacements, just call the school, and we’ll send them home.
Your son or daughter can determine the number of books they can read in March and earn certificates and/or prizes. Students ask for pledges for the number of books that they read from family and friends. Books that students read or that parents read to their children count as books read. If you or your child reads a chapter book, each chapter counts as a book.
Any books read from March 1 through 27 count toward the Read-a-Thon. So, mark all those books on your tracker sheet. Turn in tracker sheets and pledges by April 1. Good luck to our students, and thank you to parents for your ongoing support!
