March PTG Read-a-Thon Fundraiser

In March, we celebrate both Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America week. As part of this celebration of reading, PTG is holding a read-a-thon fundraiser. This fundraiser begins on March 1 and ends on March 28. Materials for this came home on February 14; if you need another packet, please call the school, and we will send one home.

Here’s how the fundraiser works:

  • Your student determines the number of books they can read in March and earn certificates and prizes.
  • Students ask for pledges from family and friends for the number of books they read.
  • Books that students read and books that adults read to children count as books read.
  • If you or your child read a chapter book, each chapter counts as a book.
  • Any books read from March 1 through March 28 count toward the read-a-thon, so be sure to mark all of them down on your tracker sheet!
  • Tracker sheets and pledges are due back to the school by April 4.
